Meredith Gary taught with Kate at the Pace Little School from 1995-1999 and re-joined the staff at the Downtown Little School in 2005. In the interim she worked as the founding Teacher-Director of the Williamsburg Neighborhood Nursery School, an early childhood program in Brooklyn that is modeled after the Little School.

Meredith has taught children ages 2 through 4 for 13 years. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Wesleyan University and a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from the Bank Street College Graduate School of Education. During her tenure at Pace she supervised student teachers in a variety of settings. She is the author of a children’s book called Sometimes You Get What You Want, soon to be published by HarperCollins. Meredith’s daughter, Audrey, was born in 2006.
